    Help, I've Lost My Wireless Internet!!!!

    I have Bellsouth
    Its PPoE
    I have a WEP encryption
    I have a router/modem(in onther words my router and modem are the same device not two seperate devices)
    I have a westell wireless router/modem
    I can connect to the Internet with wired ethernet.
    I CANNOT however connect to the internet when I try to use my wifi connection.
    I have a Dell E1505 with an internal wireless card that uses Intel pro wireless software.
    I can connect to my router but I get the page cannot be displayed message when i try to access the internet.

    I have the same problem at work. I can connect to the router but I have no internet access.(and its an open network with no password or encryptions)

    can anyone help me with this problem?

    you might have the wrong password. Re-type it in. Only cause you connect to the router, does not mean that the router is granting you access.

    I don't remember the original password.
    I set up a new account with a new password that is similar to the orriginal but i don't remmeber it to I don't know if it is the same as the original or not.

    What about the account at work that does not require a password?
    the only thingis that it is a computer to computer network. do I have to do snything different for this type of network?

    if you don't remember the password, that means your router is not granting you access to it (hence the reason for the security) your best bet is to reset the router, that would erase the security on the router and make it factory default. Find the little reset hole in the back and press and hold for 10 to 15 sec. and disconnect the power, then disconnect the modem, then reconnect the modem and reconnect the router and you should be good to go. next time, write the password down!
