Hi all. I recently got a Lenovo T61 laptop. With my old Dell I was able to connect to my home wireless network with one click on the wireless icon-the 1st time I needed a password, after that, I was just connected. With this laptop I can't connect no matter how I try to go about it. The main problem seems to be that the laptop can't "associate" with my network, whatever that means. The network is sensed, but then I get a message like association failes-access point out of range or unavailable. I am using a NetGear router. Someone suggested I try to go into the wireless through the ThinkVangate software, but this did not work either-same errors. Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

Most likely the firewall maybe blocking the connection. Or you have a 11n client card set maybe for 11n only. Remember that the workgroups are different between Vista and XP. Now Vista does not like WEP, so if you router is setup with wep it's time to move up to WAP(2) Personal AES.
