    Help with hosting on Wacraft3!

    Hey guys I need you expert networking people to help me out. My problem is that I can't host any games on Wacraft3. I tried doing the port forwarding thing but it doesn't seem to work. My router is a WGR614 v4. Please I really need your expert help! Thanks in advance!

    Their are step by step guides on the Internet, I used to be able to host but not any more because my brother resets the router constantly and I don't have the time to configure it constantly. I'll look for a guide then post it here.

    Yeh, I tried the one that blizzard gave me on port forwarding but it doesn't work. Does somone else have a guide to help me. Thanks!

    yeh i tried that and it didn't seem to work. they also didnt' have the right version of router on there that im using. any else have a clue on how to solve my problem?

    your router wasn't on their website? Try blizzard tech support forums as well, make a thread their sometimes the blizz rep's help you.

    hmm...are you sure you are opening up the port on the right protocol? There is a TCP/UDP protocol. You also may have to open up more that one or more than one series of ports. Look at the game readme....the ports you need should be in there.

    Go into the in game menu and go to the connection options. There should be an option there to choose what ports you want the game to use. The number in the game option screen and number in the router management console must correspond to each other.

    Are you using a second firewall? If so, you need to forward the port there as well, and make sure you the game exe file has access. This varies from program to program, so I cannot tell you how to do it.

    A popular program when forwarding ports is Windows Firewall. It is rubbish anyway, so go into the security centre from the control panel and then disable Windows firewall.
