I just got an old thinkpad T41 from my dad. I tried to set up the wireless connection at my home network similar to my other 2 notebooks (Toshiba and thinkpad T60) but I can't get it to work.
The wireless connection reads good connection to the right router and all the IP address things look fine, but when I pull up any browser there is no connection. I have tried to disable all the firewall and security things I can find, looked at the internet setting on IE explorer, and even disabled all the security settings on my wireless but still no go.
Can anyone help me pinpoint the problem? thanks.

What kind of security settings do you have on your router? Do you have TCP/IP and IPv4/v6 installed? Is IE told to automatically detect settings? It's hard to answer your question without a bit more information.

As Gautam stated does the router have network security setup? If so try typing in the network key to connect to the router?
