    Hi
I purchased a Linksys WRT350N router & I want to upgrade the mini pci-e inside my Asus W2P....
I have got an Intel 4965AGNM...opened up the laptop and found out I have 2 wires (antennas) attached to my existing card (Intel 3945) whereas the 4965 has 3 antenna connection points

I could get 802b & 802g to work, but not 802n.....my questions are:-

Is it possible to use 2 wires with a 3 wire antenna card (if so which connects do I use 1,2 or 1,3 or 2,3)

Should I just purchase the Dell 1500 wlan card which has draft N but only requires 2 antennas....Will this card be compatible with the WRT350N

Should I try and find an Asus 3 antenna harness & install this (NIGHTMARE!!) and use the 4965AGNM

Is there much difference between the 2 antenna card & 3 antenna cards....are there better cards than the 1500 & 4965

Thanks for any help....I've already invested quite a bit of money, so I'd really like to try and make this work

I think the third antenna is for MIMO ability. If you laptop only uses two, then you can't really go to three antennas. As long as you install the two antennas properly for the 4965 card, it should work without issue.
