    Hello All-

I would like some help troubleshooting a wireless connection that was fine yesterday and does not connect today.

My husbands lenovo t43 was connected to our netgear router and has been for the last 3 years without a hitch. This morning it would not connect to the router. I have checked the WPA password, I have rebooted the machine, I have disconnected and reconnected the router.

The error message I get when I try to connect is that "Microsoft cannot connect to the network, please try again." There does not appear to be anything with wrong with the connection. The connection works great with the Lenovo r61 that I am creating this message on.

Any suggestions on how to start troubleshooting this would be appreciated.

Check to make sure the wireless adapter isn't turned off. You can toggle it with Fn+F5 on a thinkpad.

If that's not the problem, think of what changed before the connection problem started happening.

Yep. This is a weird one and google doesn't yield much of anything related.

To add to what was posted above; You can also check the BIOS to verify the adapter is not disabled as well.

But from your post one could assume you're seeing the router from the laptop, just not able to connect?

Try deleting the 'Wireless Profile' and try searching/reconnecting again?

Disable the WPA security 'to test'?

Just for good measure, disable the Wireless Adapter and re-enable?

Tried using the (LAN) Ethernet adapter to test via cable?
