I have a wireless connection at my campground and have access to the Netopia router configuration page and I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to set the router for forwarding a port on "my" computer? I'm including screenshots of my ipconfig, router homepage, setup pinholes page, and Netopia internal services page. I hope I'm posting the right pages. I need to know what to fill in on the pinholes page and the services page. I'm going to set static address to 192.168.1.220 I only have one DNS server listed in ipconfig/all ???
    thank you

Its a Netopia 3347-02 Blue68. I've been to "port forwarding.com" and my router isn't listed.
Netopia 3347-02 is at the Netopia website. I'm still confused as to the info I'm supposed to enter and where because I don't know if I'm supposed to enter the router or what. I need step by step instructions from someone who knows this stuff, not generic instructions.

You have no clue huh...what are u trying to do really? What program/service? What ports does this program/service need open?

If you follow the generic steps just using the port(s) you need you should be fine..it's all the same steps basically for every router.

Edit: And the fact that you don't see your router on portforward.com sounds like your router doesn't support port forwarding...and breezing through the link blue posted I saw no mention of it...maybe it doesn't support it...go through your manual and the router config. pages!

Edit: I just noticed the pinhole page you posted OP...that might be it. What port(s) do you want to forward?

You say you have access to the configuration page. Did the campground give you access, ie: you are allowed to configure a device used by many visitors?

Thanks for replying Makaveli72. You helped me when I was trying to set up my Wireless.....I need to forward a port for UTorrent. It goes real slow. I get a Error message when I "test for port forwarded properly". It says "port does not appear to be open" and directs me to portforwarding.com. I can use any port I choose.

Okay cool, I recently did this...just yesterday actually! had that same issue then I just opened the ports and was good to go. But in reference to Kego's question. Are you sure you are allowed to config. a device used my many users in a campground setting?

Unless you own the campground or have permission to configure a switch that is not yours, you need to ask permission or stop trying to configure this router.

Agreed. Do you either own the router, or do you have the owner's permission to monkey around with the configuration and, in particular, to dedicate bandwidth to torrenting? If not, then you should make sure you get permission first; and it would be nice if you let the rest of us know.

Also, your use will use up a bit of bandwidth, so it'll have an obvious slowing effect on the rest of the network if anyone does anything more than the ocassional light websurfing.
