    Hi All,
I am a novice in notebooks.I am planning to buy a dell vostro 1500.In UK it comes with " IntelĀ® Pro Wireless 3945 802.11a/b/g Mini-Card -Europe".
My doubt is will these cards work in Asia(India) or any other place. Why are these termed specific to Europe.

    Thanks in advance.

In most cases yes. There is an advanced setting that allows you to use the channels above 11.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Can we change that setting by ourselves or does it require the dell support.
And you had mentioned that "setting allows you to use the channels above 11". I didnt exactly understand what u meant by 11.Can you pls be specific..

Now you may understand why profile says tht im a novice :)

Yes, normally found under advanced driver properties.
