Help please I'm not sure if it was system restore which caused wifi signal lost/no connection or router?

I decided to do system restore(windows 7) on my laptop after installing a few applications which was no use to me anymore. Then after system restore maybe like about 20 minutes later I noticed wifi had no connection for about 3-4 times. I decided to update the latest wifi driver and it done the same for 2 times but after it was working normally.I haven't checked the router such as switching it off/testing the router to see. I forgot to mention is I didn't remember using my phone to test wifi to see if it was the router. my questions

    1. Is system restore(windows 7) safe or would it cause more problems?

    2. Do you think it might be the router or system restore which triggered?

    3. Should I do a roll back system restore to the original date or see how it goes for a while?

    4. Could restarting 3 times in a day for updates damage the laptop such as hardware or software because I have been system restoring and installing windows update so I'm quite paranoid
