Hi, my Mediacom plan comes with internet + phone (+ cable TV). Mediacom provided me with an all-in-one cable internet + phone modem called the Cisco DPC3925. To save monthly cost of renting the modem, I bought myself a Motorola SB6141. After hooking up the modem, I am able to have internet, but no phone service. How can I get phone service? Would I need to buy something to add to this? Thanks!

You're essentially missing the VoIP portion that would enable the use of the voice segment of the signal, which Cisco refers to as "Embedded Digital Voice Adapter" and Motorola does not include...

I don't know what your provider is charging for the Cisco modem on monthly basis, but it might not be a bad idea to just go with a flow on that one...
