Is there a password for the wireless?

Also, the firmware for the linksys router?

Only password i believe is the one for the 128bit encryption. Which ive entered already into the conection settings. Dunno anything about firmware upgrades i tried one before and almost botched my router. Whats your recomendation. Its wierd how im connected wirelessly showing an excellent conection i just cant get on the internet at all.

I had that problem when I was setting up my router over the weekend...excellent connection, no internet. We went through so many things I can't remember how we solved it...I think it was password, but I dont' remember. Since the router's Linksys, call them--they were on the phone with me for a very long time (free) over the weekend and solved it with me. They impressed the Hell out of me. And I was brand new to wireless, so you may already be ahead of the game.

Make sure you are entering the HASH and not the passphrase you used.
If I recall, the MS wizard wants the actual HASH code that the passphrase creates
if you are using WEP 64 or 128 bit it is going to be either a 10-25 series of numbers and letters.

I battled with mine a bit when I first got into wireless.

You can talk with them online and have your questions answered. What i would do is:
Update all the Firmware and the drivers. Maybe try disabling your security. Also, on the laptop that doesnt have internet, type your ip address (your isp's, you can do a google like "What is my ip".) You type your ip address into a broswer's page as you would type in a internet address. And look to see if any settings dont look like or ask what they do. Try disabling your security through there also. If you cant get to that page that means your not connecting to the router properly.
