    Hey Guys,
    I got a Sony Vaio VGN-N220E/B with Windows Vista today and I have a few questions I hope someone can answer..this is my first laptop as I usually work off a PC but had to get one as I am going to the U.S to work on friday..(i am in europe but my laptop is american) right now I have my PC's modem attached to my laptop...and the internet is working that way, basically i need to know what i have do to to set up the wireless internet, surely when i am in the U.S i wont have to ask people where can i plug myself in all the time right? :) first of all, will i have to call my internet provider from my PC and set up an internet connection on my laptop?? and will i need to buy a router for my laptop so i can use the internet wihout using wires..im sorry if my question's are lame..i honestly do not know much about laptops and you guys seem to know alot so I thought I would ask...

    For wireless to work you need a wireless Router or AP. Then you put your connection info into the router. Your ISP will only see the router, will not see hardware connected to your router. (Note: most ISP requires the MAC address of the PC used to setup the account.) Once the router wired side is working you will need to setup the Wireless security, WPA for the router and notebook.

    When you come to the states, you will either have to use Hotspots or your place of business may provide you with connection info.
