Here is the scenario. Just got my girlfriend a Belkin Wireless card (model F5D7010) for her old dell notebook. The card is installed and working fine when connected to non WEP protected networks. When I try to connect to my WEP protected connection, it asks for the Hex key OR passphrase. This is my problem. When I connect to this network from laptop it asks for the key AND passphrase. On her laptop I put in the key and it says limited or no connectivity.

It seems to me that I need to put in both the key and passphrase, but there is no option to do this on the Belkin utility.

By the way, my router is a Netgear WRG614 v6.

    Please help, ASAP

Thanks. That did help actually. All I needed to do was reset the Encryption key. I kind of figured that out right as I was reading it.

Now that i;ve changed the WEP key, it does not work on my laptop. I have typed in the new key, but it doesn't work - i get limited or no connectivity

Try typing it on again. There is a chance you entered the key incorrectly
