So I am torn between two brands actually and the thing is that I am not really expert in choosing the right router. This is the 1st time I'll set up a modem router in my place so I really need some help. So far I got these two closely similar Routers here:
*Netgear DGND4000 N750 Wireless N Dual Band Gigabit DSL Modem Router
*Billion BiPAC 7800VDPX - VOIP/Dual-band/ Wireless N/Gigabit/ADSL2+ Firewall Modem Router
Specs are displayed on the link provided. Please do enlighten me on what to look for on buying a router. Thank you.

So it's either or neither or Billion or Netgear- depending on what you need
Netgear offers 450mbps Wi-Fi on 5GHz band which is goos if you need high Wi-Fi throughput and use a machine with a three stream card (like Intel 6300) not far from the router.
It also offers drive sharing over USB (which Billion also does) and printer sharing over USB (Billion doesn't do that).
Billion doesn't offer Wi-Fi speed over 5GHz, but is overall better. Billion a company that specializes in ADSL hardware and they are very good in it. They clearly state that the modem is Broadcom based which is also good. They also offer an interesting feature where you can use USB port for a USB 3G modem or LAN port to connect a normal Ethernet cable so unlike most modems this can be also used as a router or with a 3G modem as a 3G router.
Mind you- you can also use a 3G modem as a fall-back device coupled with ADSL- so if ADSL fails the router automatically connects a second source (3G modem).
Billion also offers VoIP and two phone sockets for it- might be useful might not be.
Netgear also can be used as a router- with a dedicated Ethernet port but doesn't have an option to use 3G modem as a fall back device.
Overall Billion seems better of the two however...
...the most reasonable solution would be to buy am ADSL modem (Broadcom based) and any router you feel like. -
Wow! That was thorough and very informative! Well I have also posted and asked for questions in other forums and majority said that I should pick Billions. Another have also pointed out that I should get a router and a modem separately because based on his experience these 2-in-1 modem-router package do not really serve well. However since I am not really trying to make things complicated here because my intelligence about such devices are limited, I would just get Billions as what most of my countrymen are recommending. Thank you!

I agree, I would stick to Billion modems for your DSL connection. I would also personally recommend getting a separate modem and wifi router setup and not a combo dsl modem with build in router.
I have a Billion DSL Modem that hooks into my Linksys EA6500 Router that broadcasts two SSID's, one on a 2.4Ghz and the other SSID on the 5Ghz frequency. I also have two other Linksys E1000 router's that are bridged to the EA6500 for further range around the home.
If you have your heart set on your selections in your OP, I would get the Billion BiPAC 7800VDPX over the Netgear.
