    Hi all

I had a new Netgear router which I took back because I couldnt get my Zepto Znote 6625wd laptop with a Intel AGN wireless card connecting with the new N draft.

I have now brought a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless-N Draft 2.0 Gigabit Broadband Router and still can only connect at G 54mbps.

The router has been configured for mixed mode and the wireless intel pro software sees the router SSID as B,G,N.

I connect and its only 54mbps. I have looked at the wireless card propetires and made sure its got N enabled.

I using windows XP SP2 for the OS

    Please could someone help me

    Many Thanks

Is "N" enabled on your notebooks wireless card assuming it supports "N".

Draft means exactly that. One company's version may not work with another company's version.

I guess a good question would be, what wireless N router works with the intel AGN card?

Seen that already..."Connect with Centrino" is a little harder to track down... I think the key here is that in order to get max bandwidth with the intel 4965, the router needs to support the 5 GHz band....

I've done a bit more research, and 3 dual-band N routers I've found is the Buffalo Nfiniti, Linksys WRT600N, and the unreleased DIR-855 from Dlink.

On their website, Buffalo says that existing stock is the only thing being sold as of October 1st. That means that if this patent BS isn't settled, retailers could sell out of their existing inventories because they are not being replenished. I really cant see it getting to this point.......but it could happen! If you want Buffalo routers, buy them now!

    Check out the following link:

    http://www.buffalotech.com/products/wireless/wireless-n-nfiniti-dual-band/

So out of my list, with the Dlink not yet shipping, that leaves the $250 Linksys. I think I'll buy a cheap single band N router and live with the 130Mbps connection for now.
