I have Belkin Pre-N router F5d8230-4, and I recently bought Dell Inspiron E1505 notebook. The notebook has a wireless card, "Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n"
    My problem is...,

I am not able to connect my router. My notebook can connect other routers except Belkin Pre-N. I have contacted Dell technician, and we have tried to solve this issue for 5 hours, but we still can't figure out what problem is. Dell technician said my notebook can connect other routers except Belkin Pre-N, so wireless card has no problem. And the technician concluded that Belkin Pre-N router doesn't compatible with Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n.

Is that ture? Does Belkin Pre-N router has compatible issue with N type wireless card? If it is, is there any solution for this problem?

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm having the exact same problem. Dell E1505 with internal Dell 1500 Wireless card (draft 802.11n) and Belkin Pre-N router. It worked fine with the Belkin G Plus MIMO router but when that one died and Belkin didn't have another in stock, they upgraded me to the Pre-N router. Although four other computers in the house can connect wirelessly, the Dell cannot.

Whatever the problem, it is not related to security. I have tried completely disabling security (no WEP or WPA) and still cannot connect. The Dell shows the SSID and goes through the steps to connect. It even shows as connected (No big X over the router icon) but under link status, no activity is shown. No IP address is ever assigned and hovering over the icon in system tray displays "wireless network unavailable".

I'm using the latest firmware for the router and the Dell wireless card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you choose the non standard 11n hardware. You should expect those kind of problems. Beside Belkin is known to be of low quality. I've seen belkins be bad right out of the box. I Do not recommend Belkin for anything. Take it back and get your money back.

I am still looking for the a solution to this problem. I have contacted Belkin tech support. They are all idiots and useless. Don't waste your time to find a solution with them. They don't have any knowledge of their products. They keep saying the same things over and over - "change the channel, set static IP address, or change wireless mode"

Forget about pre-N now. It is junk now. If someone want to buy pre-N, draft-N, or sort of stuff, you should wait until standard N comes out.
