Bluetooth Software license file not found [2].

An error-window which to my great annoyance keeps showing up!
It happens when the computer is starting, and when I turn on the bluetooth (usually by using the on/off button for wifi and bluetooth, which I switch off to save battery when travelling), or when I use bluetooth programs.

I found this thread while searching for answers:
    http://forums.techguy.org/windows-vista/708583-solved-bluetooth-
    software-license-file.html

It's about the problem, but it still occurs after doing what was referred to in this thread.

    Please, can someone help me?

nb. the problem arose due to use of "nCleaner".. which is now uninstalled

Indeed I have. Tried that as a means to fixing it, which it didn't.

Go to Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and find a point when everything was fine one that was before running nCleaner.

Ach this is such a classical answer - And I don't like these answers!
Seriously, why would I undo all the changes on the computer to fix one thing? It's ok if it's done straight after the problem occured, but that's a while ago now.. + more importantly, my system restore thingy doesn't really work.. yep.

No don't restore or reinstall yet. Hang on a bit and I'll have a look around.

The only one really connected from time to time is my mobile phone. Using the nokia suite, and bluetooth remote control.

You say you did re-install the drivers? I see no reason that would not fix it.

    What bluetooth stack is it?

I didn't say, but now I have, and sadly it didn't fix it.

"What stack?" Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by this. Here is everything bluetooth-related from my system (ps. some is translated from Norwegian, so I don't know the technically correct terms..):

    *Bluetooth radios
    -Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
-thinkpad bluetooth with enhanced data rate

    *network
-bluetooth device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #2
    -bluetooth-unit (personal area network) #2

Wikipedia has a basic overview primer on Bluetooth; that might help with understanding some of what's going on under the hood.

This occurs when you install a Widcomm Drivers for a Device which is not certified / Licensed to run on Widcomm Drivers , there are ways to bypass this , but i won't talk about this in here :p (Google is great )

so you could try Bluesoleil Drivers

    I don't want a program =/
And no, it did not occur as a result of having installed something.. as stated earlier - it was due to an nCleaner incident.

I had the same problem, I think. The bluetooth icon was blue and with the red "B" letter in it. When I right-clicked on it it said "device not found(or not connected, i don't remember).

What I did that made it work again ( I'm using Windows XP):

    1. go to control panel-> add/remove programs, find the HP Integrated module with Bluetooth wireless technology or something that is relevant to your notebook and uninstall it.
you should also remove the Bluetooth driver if you find it in the add/remove list

    2. when it's complete, windows should find the new hardware automatically. (if so, continue with choosing the auto & recommended steps)
It it does not, go to control panel -> add new hardware. choose the bluetooth module or let the add hardware wizard search for new hardware.

drivers should be downloaded automatically during the hardware installation wizard( in both cases mentioned in my point 2)

    Thank you for trying.
I don't have any bluetooth related in my add/remove list.
