    My Linksys WRT54G wireless router worked fine until today. I cannot connect to the internet, if the modem has to go through the router, it worked fine until today. I tried updating firmware, and It will not. It says something like the server cannot be found. I need the router to be working because of my laptop. THe router won't work even if it is wired, once again, until today. I contacted linksys, they told me to update firmware, but it wont update. Any suggestions?

    Did the router ever work?

    You may of answered it but I don't think I picked it up..

    Sometimes unplugging it for a few minutes can work wonders. Unplug your cable/dsl modem as well. Did you try to update the firmware while on the ethernet port?

    It will not let me upgrade for some reason. I'm gonna fiddle around with it today and hopefully get it working. If i can't I'll try linksys again. Thanks for the help.

    I think I got it! The internet works now that I'm connected through the router, and I can still get on the internet! YAY! I fot the firmware to updat.

    Yeah, that firmware can do wonders when it is working! :) Now try wireless and see how it works
