I have a netbook with an Ralink RT2860 , draft N wifi card and a Netgear DG834GT router.

I have the latest firmware on the router and the latest driver on the netbook wifi card, I have used 3 different connection software, 1 is the Xp wifi finder.

I keep getting acquiring network address and then it changes to limited or no connectivity and repair or rebooting the netbook does not fix the problem.

But as soon as i re-boot the router the netbook connects straight away, but as i said only for the next 5+ netbook reboots.

    Crazy or what

I just reverted to the previous firmware after finding out that the new one is reported to be very buggy, I have connected and disconnected the wifi 10 times on my netbook without a problem.

It`s a pity as the new firmware has WPA2 support , hopefully netgear will release a fix soon.

Does your netbook happened to use athero 5007EG wifi chipset? If it does, then those wifi card have known problems with connection issues.
