    Hi all,
I've managed to set up a wireless network in my house and the laptop wirelessly connects to the internet with no problems. However, I have two problems:

    1) My desktop won't connect to the internet until I go to Network connections, view connections and then click on the Repair button for the Local Area Connection. (Even though before clicking repair it says that Windows didn't detect any problems with the connection.)

    2) The dial-up connection box keeps popping up intermittently. First it pops up when I first open a browser with the router and modem on but before I click on Repair. Then after I'm connected via my broadband internet it keeps popping up once in a while. I used to use dialup before I got cable internet, but that was 2 years ago.

I'm using a Linksys WRT54G and have WPA-PSK security set up if that makes a difference.
Thank you for reading this and for your help.

open an internet explorer box or control panel. in IE select the tools drop down and internet options, then select the connections tab. From there select never dial a connection. That should cure the dialing issue.

As far as repairing the connection repair, make sure that in LAN properties that authnetication is enabled. If that doesnt help then try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.
