I can connect my laptop to any free wi-fi out there, except Starbuck's. The baristas don't even know about Wi-Fi, I called customer service several times and they can't give me an answer. Everything should be working but after entering my user name (no email) and password, I'm directed to a T-Mobile page with tons of numbers. But I still can't access their Wifi.

Has anybody been able to use their wifi from their laptops or a non-iphone cell phone? Am I doing something wrong? I didn't know where else to post this question?

I thought Starbucks dumped T-Mobile and switched to AT&T? All of the press releases I read (and a few blogs also) mentioned the switch was the reason for up to two free hours of wifi per day if you are a Starbucks cardholder. Did you follow the instructions on the Starbucks website?

Yes, I did. I even talked on the phone with an ATT guy who talked me into getting connected, but nothing worked. It sucks because I go to starbucks to work but I want to connect to their MASSIVELY ANNOUNCED free wi-fi. I'm beginning to think it's a scam.

Well, unless other people in the same Starbucks have the same problem, I don't think it is a scam. Have you tried other Starbucks stores? Perhaps it's a compatibility issue with your wifi card and that particular store's router? Or, perhaps that store isn't properly configured, since it's redirecting you to a T-Mobile site?

I too have an issue getting on using a bellsouth account my aunt set up for me. It's weird because I didn't have this issue with my sbcglobal address.

I have one of their little cards that give you two hours but it's not as convenient for obvious reason.

you need to have an att account. register a starbucks card (min 5 dollar which you can keep on it forever) and you get 2 hours free a day.

Yes, I tried all that. And every time I get that T-Mobile page. Both from my laptop and from my Wi-Fi phone.

It is At&T now but tmobile user can still access the internet if they have the hotspot plan. Just enter the tmobile username and password and your in. Although ever since they changed to att down here in hawaii for some reason only some starbucks I can access the wifi but before the change I could access every starbucks location.
