I'm looking for a wireless adapter with the following properties:
    - OS X ML/Mavericks compatible
    - 802.11ac
    - Dual-Band
    - Cheap (preferably under 40$ CAD)

Currently using an Intel 2230, which is by no means bad, but not hackintosh-compatible.

    Thanks

afaik, under 40$ and ac isn't doable right now, find what chip the new MBA is using and look for an adapter using that chip.

That's their entry level. Their top of the line is the Broadcom 4352 which is might be compatible with OS X. No Intel WiFi will ever work on OS X out of the box. That Broadcom 4352 just needed some coding to work on OS X (according to the other forum) while the Broadcom without the AC will work out of the box.

The Broadcom is expensive because it is not widely available, the actual price should be much lower.
I think some of the clevo/sager reseller actually carry them so you can try there. I believe it is listed as un-branded (not intel) ac card. You can also find the p/n and try get from dell.

    The killer is not ac.

I'll stretch to 50$ but thats as high as i'll go. If there are no AC's in this range, ill just pay the 10$ and get a cheap N card, and relocate my Intel 2230 to my older Wireless-G laptop.

You would have to check with them, the broadcom should not be much more expensive than Intel.

Guys, i've decided to just hackintosh my desktop instead, since my desktop has more compatible hardware, and a OS X working Wifi Card (Atheros). But thanks for all the help.
