    Hello,

I have a DV1688US that just experienced issues with connecting to my home wireless network. Operating system XP. I have not had any issues with connecting previously.

The wireless button is on and I am able to see the wireless connections (router?). The icon that shows signal strenghth is strong and shows "trying to connect".

I went to a friends house and was able to connect to the internet (wireless) , but when I plugged in my itouch, I lost the connection. I rebooted the computer and was able to reconnect with no issues.

I went back home and continue to have the same problem. I have AVG anti virus and tried disableing that but the problem continues.

I'm not the most computer literate but appreciate any help.

    Thank you, CK

Do you have other devices that have problems connecting to the network and have you tried rebooting the router?

We'll also need to know what router you use and what is the model of the wireless adapter in your laptop.

Thanks for the quick reply. I share the router with the Landlord, who lives next to me and will track down all the information. I know that he did reboot 1 week ago, so I wonder if that is a factor.

    Thanks again, CK
