I originally posted this to JadedRaverLA as a PM, but it doesnt seem like this person has been on recently...so i thought i would post it as an actual thread. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a HP dv2225nr. Im having a couple of problems...

First) Lately i have been having issues with there being a black screen when i start up...all the blue lights come on but you cant do anything with them.

Second) For some reason my laptop is not finding network(s) to connect to. I have no idea if something got changed by accident or what.
Last night i thought i had fixed it after spending alot of time downloading a few updates that had to do with graphics and such; i also could not click on my wireless assistant to get help or anything. I found your thread with the drivers and found the one for the wireless assistant and the GEforce go 6150 driver and downloaded it....i restarted my computer and it worked...the wireless worked and it seemed to start up fine with no black screen.
I checked this morning again and it still worked. I get home today and BOOM...not working again!!! Same issues.
That said, my mom and my sister run a business out of this house so everything is networked together...their desktop computers---fine!!, and my laptop works fine, when i connect it directly with the wire.
The 2 different messages i have gotten when i try to diagnose the problem are:

"There is a network cable unplugged." (i shouldnt need a cable plugged in though)
    also...
"There is no wireless network adapter installed or found." <---something of that nature.

I am wondering if i should just send this back to HP and have them fix it (its still under warranty right?, a year or less??) or if this is a fixable issue. If i should send it back how do i go about doing that, do i have to call them???

I think i read somewhere else that this was an issue with some HP's and they have to replace the mainboard (is that the same as the motherboard?) and something else.

Anyway...thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully help me!!!

If you recently did a BIOS update you will have to re-enable your wireless in your BIOS. Also make sure that it is installed corrently in your device manager. As far as your ethernet port error saying a cable is unplugged, if you dont use the netowrk port, disable it in device manager. GL
