    Hey buddies
i am using adsl modem router for wifi lan, wpa2psk secured. I want my visitors to avail net access facility using my wifi in a way they can not access my other data.
Is it possible?? By enabling some guest login or something else..
    Rgds

What do you mean by your "other data," and how would someone else be able to access it merely because they were using your wireless network?

some (expensive) routers have the "Guest" mode where it creates a virtual SSID unsecure, but requires a password to get past the splash screen, and it should isolate the two SSIDs...

As long as you disable file and printer sharing on your machines, your friends won't have access to anything - just the internet.

What OS are you using, what OS are your guests using? Please, do not parse out information.

Why does every call for help result in a game of 20 questions? Without that information we cannot even begin to help. (end rant)

General rule of thumb--if you must have file and print sharing on, give your workgroup a really funky name and don't share it. If vista, don't put anything in your public share folders.

Turn off file and print sharing when guests are there
