I read in a review that the altheros wifi a/g card can have 4 times better range than the intel one??? is that true????

Can someone point me some Internal wifi cards (with bluetooth if possible) in newegg or any other shoping website?

    PS: I use a belkin highspeed mode wireless G router - 125 - 2.4ghz /802.11g

    Thanks guys.

Newegg sells a card made by MSI for $30 not sure about its quality. The majority of internal cards are intel. Atheros is the best but difficult to find and expensive.

Atheros is the way to go.

There is a group buy on these cards. Just PM a guy named Firebretha

Or you can check ebay for them, at buy it now prices. Average for that cards runs at about $60ish

There is a groupbuy still going on in the 'Buy sell' thread, for a new Atheros AR5006XS, for $55 shipped in North America. Probably will cost a bit more to ship to Brazil, but the seller seems reasonable and is not going to rip you off on shipping. This card has gotten nothing but excellent reviews, and the price is probably the best you'll find.

don't forget to make sure it works with your notebook. i know it's not an HP, but some other user bought one and it was not on HP's approved hardware list so he couldn't use it.
