What's a good brand for wireless routers? I'm currently using a Linksys wireless router and it's giving me headaches--after few hrs, the connection would just completely randomly drop...I tried messing around with using different wireless channels and all that jazz, but I'm finally convinced that my router is a PIECE OF CRAP :(

What's a good, reliable (as in STABLE connection ALL THE TIME...thats my main concern) wireless router?

What Linksys router do you have?
Stability under load (gaming/P2P/VoIP) is achieved on good hardware (fast CPU and lots of RAM) and good firmware (possibly tweakable).
Anyway my choice would be ASUS WL-500G Premium (CPU 266MHz, 32MB RAM, ability to run DD-WRT) or WL-500W if you wanna look at N gear (same hardware as WL-500G but with N radio chip)

    I am using a D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit.

I've had it for about for about 3 weeks now. No issues at all. Extremely easy to set-up. I live in NYC (~800sq ft apartment) and have had no loss of connection.

    I do play MMORPG's...but not any FPS's...

OK...I've spent my money on a new notebook (my first), and I wanted to get something that isn't going to hold me back in the way of a wireless router.
I've got my eye on this TRENDnet TEW-631BRP. I don't have any issues with spending $80 on a router if it's going to meet the need. This would be feeding my new Sager 2090 notebook.

    Thanks, Walt

I use a Buffalo Airstation WHR-G125 and I game with it all of the time and notice no difference between it and a wired connection. It has never given me any problems (aside from my networking noobness) and was only $40 from newegg!
