I'm sure there is an easy fix for this but my Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) is only reading my internet connection at 100 Mbps, I remember having it read at 1 gig at one point when I checked the properties. My router is a DIR-628. Any Ideas will be great.

If you have a non gigabit device plugged into a gigabit router, it will likely dumb all of the ports to 100 Mb/s speed.

Any 100Mbps devices attached to router, this can cause the who network to run at 100Mbsp even though you have a Gbit LAN.

According to D-Link's spec sheet, the DIR-628 doesn't support gigabit ethernet.

That will be the main reason why then :)

When buying a router also check to see if the WAN port can do 1Gbit.
Quite a few only do Gbit on the 4 LAN ports but only 100Mbps on the WAN port.

    Dlink 655, 825 and 855 are 1Gbit on all 5 ports

The simplest answer is usually the right answer.
