After spending an inordinate amount of time searching for my first notebook, I found the Panasonic CF-52 - this model has the Intel 4965 AGN Wi Fi Link. Because the notebook has the Intel 4965 AGN, I had assumed that it supported Draft N. However, as I read further, it only supports A, B & G. I telephoned Panasonic support and they confirmed that the CF-52 does not support Draft N. I know this notebook has been available since May 2007, and wonder if this is why it doesn't support Draft N. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm placing importance on Draft N since this appears to be the most current Wi Fi and I hate to buy an outdated computer costing $1500. Am I wrong to place such emphasis on Draft N? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Draft-N is not final and may be they thought it was not necessary then.

No clue. Draft-N 2.0 has been confirmed to be compatible with the final 802.11n spec. Dumb that they wouldn't include it, but I can only imagine that if the card is there...a simple driver change should enable the feature.

I agree, is all a question of using the appropriate driver, the laptop platform shouldn't interfere with it.
