    Hi all,

Recently, just purchased a Asus G7H laptop and its a great laptop. However, my main problem with this computer is it will lag hard when im playing WoW. Since, this laptop is using wireless I decided to buy a high power Wireless LAN USB adapter for better signal. My signal strength is about 70% and link quality is about 80%. Is there anything I can do to improve my latency? Normal latency for me is about 55ms but lately its been 2000ms. Any help would be appreciated.

What do you get with a test from something like Pingtest.net or Speedtest.net?
Are other people on your network torrenting or using other P2P services?
What router do you have? What internal wireless card? Are you running at optimum N-Speeds? How is your ping if you plug in via ethernet?

From what I see the wireless connection itself isn't the problem. There's something borked on either the Asus, or the router-to-modem connection. Let's find out which.

I ran the speedtest and everything seems fine I'm getting about 35 ms. The only person that uses this network is me and occassionaly my gf would watch youtube videos. I have a belkin router and the firmware is up to date. Also, my wireless LAN adapter driver is up to date also. The G73 comes with a Atheros AR9285 card. But since signal is not very good I use an external realtek wireless LAN.

I would also tend to agree with blue68f100. Also, I upgraded my wifi card in my g73 to the intell 6200 one and I couldnt be happier in terms of signal and gaming.
