I have owned my G71GX-RX05 for around two months now. Everything has worked perfectly fine until about two days ago. As I logged on to play MW2 that day, I was lagging very terribly and got disconnected in a few minutes. I saw that my wireless internet was not connected, and when I tried connecting to my personal home connection, I got the message “unable to connect”. Now I have more than one laptop, so I was able to see if it was actually my internet connection and not my laptop. To my dismay my Macbook was connected to the internet just fine at full speed, and never dropped after hours of continued use, while at the same time my G71 would still not connect. Now the weird part is that my G71 will every now and then connect for a few minutes, but will then just randomly give me a yellow caution arrow saying “limited connection” then drop me a few minutes later. This happened with Vista last night as well as Windows 7 right after I upgraded. The only thing I can think of is that my wireless card has some issues and needs to be repaired. Anyone else think they know what the problem could be?

That is a fair bet, but you should probably try a few other things.

What kind of router? Wireless N or G? What mode is it in? What security? Are drivers up to date for wireless adapter? Is firmware up to date on router?

First thing I would try in absence of information above, temporarily remove all security from your router and see if that makes a difference.
