After fresh install, wifi connects to router but there's no internet access.
Tested with a usb wireless adapter, same thing happened.

Using firefox portable, so settings are 'fresh'. Same thing happened with chrome portable & opera portable.

    Windows firewall is disabled.
Interesting that tor portable browser works.

With ethernet cable, there's no problem.

Do a Ping test, open up Command Prompt (click the Start button, choose Run... then type in "cmd") and then type in "ping www.google.com" and see if it responds back.

If it doesn't work then check the IP settings on your Wireless Adapter. Since it works fine on your Ethernet cable, plug that in for the time being and in the same Command Prompt window type in "ipconfig /all". Take a note of the following information on the Ethernet Adapter - IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway, let's say for this example I got the following...

Disconnect the Ethernet cable, then go to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections and right-click on your Wireless Adapter then choose Properties. On the Properties box, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties. Check the "Use the following IP Address" and input the fields according to the information you had earlier. Using the earlier example we put in...

Click OK and let it refresh. Check your browser to see if you have Internet Access or alternatively you can do another round of the Ping Test.
