I am sharing a folder that contains 100 other folders in that folder(Like one big share folder). When i access this share folder, only maybe like 25 out of the 100 can be opened up and used fined. The other 75 says Access is deny or the server can not perform the requested operation.

The share folder is not read only and has full read/write on it, however they are times when the settings changes back to read only

Computer sharing the folder: XP Pro
Computer accessing the share folder: XP MCE

Remember that there's security on the Share (R/W, Read-Only, etc...), and there's security on the files and folders themselves - two different tabs in the Properties dialog box. I would try re-setting the security, not on the Share, but on the Folder that is shared, and when prompted, re-apply that security to all sub-folders and files.

Also keep in mind - When moving a file to a folder, the file keeps it's original security. When copying it, it will pick up the security of the folder it was dropped in. (Folder security, not Share security).
