Anyone here done this before? I been using google but there a lot of endless links and worthless information out there. The router I be using is Linksys WRT54G v8. I think it can only use mini ver of dd-wrt. Like I said I dunno much about this and wondering if anyone here has done this process..

You can use the Wiki because there is a guide there, but I would not recommend trying it on a v8 because I've already bricked one trying to get DD-WRT on it. I ended up just buying a WRT54GL so I could use DD-WRT.

I have the WRT54G(v2-3?) and DD-WRT worked just fine.

Did you try unbricking it via slipstream through command prompt?

I tried a few methods that were suggested on the DD-WRT site without success. The power light just kept flashing and I figured it was pretty much dead.
