Do I need to install a Firewall on my wireless connected Laptop? I have a router hardwired to my main PC and on that PC I have a good Firewall installed.

    Thanks[ :)]

Better safe than sorry... I'm behind two hardware firewalls (wireless router connected to print server router) and I still use Zone Alarm.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?

Being behind multiple firewalls can prove problematic at times. When I am at home I don't run any software firewall on my laptop. This is because I have a hardware based firewall built into my Wireless Router. I still have Zone Alarm installed and ready to go in case I'm going to connect to a public network such as a Wireless Hot-Spot or something.

I run a Norton firewall on my notebook and 1 from my wireless router. Have been using this config for both of my windows based notebooks for some time. If you have a problem with 2 FW's you can always disable one of them.

Phroenips is correct. Some people may experience issues running multiple FW's.

Nonetheless, have a FW software installed and ready to go.

The best free firewall that I've been using for years is Sygate Personal Firewall
