Yeah, yeah, I know. What's wrong with that?

IE7 gives me an HTTP 400 error when I try to connect to any website.
Safari, and Opera say there is a Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) error.

This started happening just recently, so I System Restored to two weeks ago, and the same problem still comes about.

The bad part is that the HTTP 400 error comes up when trying to use the Help & Support section of Windows, when trying to PartyPoker, and even when viewing new media in the Azureus client. These are just some examples.

My connection is working fine because my desktop hasn't had any of these problems.

    This happening to anyone else?

    I love you. :p

Somehow, in some odd way, a proxy server was added, and then checked off.

    Problem solved!

But I still find it weird how it made Opera, and Safari not work, too.

Opera and Safari probably use Internet Explorer's internet connection settings. IE's internet connection settings is default for the entire system. MSN relyies on those settings, other programs, etc. As far as I know Firefox does not use those settings and it uses its own.

I figured so as I was trying to troubleshoot this thing.

    Thanks again.

Yeah, you should probably get used to it. I can't tell you how many times Windows (both 2000 and XP) has suddenly changed my DNS or proxy settings all on its own.
