    For some reason on my Firefox web browser can connect to the internet. The Steam store page doesn't load, Google Chrome doesn't load, along with the iTunes store. :confused:
    Thanks

    Power cycle your modem and router, then test.

    Did you update your FW or other updates?. I have seen FW's block things on updates. So try disabling the FW and see if every thing works. If so un-install and re install is the easy fix. Just download the latest version before you un-install. If it's Symantic that has expired, your in big trouble it like to mess things up.

    What OS version are you using? Type of internet service?

    Im running my anti-virus software atm to scan over things (Avira AntiVir Personal). I turned the Windows FW off and nothing changed. I have no clue what Symantic is, pretty sure im not running it. My operating system is Windows Vista 64-bit.

    Normally my download is 14mb/s, could have my other computer in use.

    And Google Chrome gave me this error message
    "Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error."

    Team Fortress 2 hasnt been giving me any problems.

    I think those apps require java. May want to reinstall JAVA. If your scan does not find anything.

    You may want to use restore and backup to a know point. Did you have a MS update recently?

    Symantic is Norton.

    I agree Norton could be the problem Did it start about 6 or 12 months from the day you purchased the PC? I had, my nephew had happen. When Norton expires (which by the HP installs without you knowing it), your internet connection dies. Check your installed programs list and if there, get rid of it.
