    Hello
    I have Linksys router, there are two computers connected to it wirelessly, but I can't share any files with each other, File Sharing is turned on, they both have the same workgroup name.
    What's wrong?

    Thanks

    Are you use the shared file folder or a different one. If a different one you need to rt click the select share. It's also works better if you have a user ID and PW the same on all computers.

    See if you can ping each other (both ways). If not check your firewall settings on your pc's. You will have to allow either by subnet or IP address. And you may have to turn on respond to ping in advanced network settings of the card.

    I can ping each other, there is no firewall software installed.
    I set static IP for both, and enabled File Sharing but I can't still see the other's computer name in network place.

    There's nothing related to file protections, I can't even see computers names connected to the same router in network place in first place.

    Can you directly connect using a name or IP?

    //server
    or
    //192.168.0.2

    That bypasses most of the network protocols of Windows.

    Make sure the machine is awake. Sometimes they fail to wake.

    Otherwise, sounds like an intermittent connection for some reason.
