Hey guys, I just bought my M30-710 and got it hooked up on the netgear WGT-624 and with my desktop as well. I get internet connection but I want to be able to see my desktop computer on Network neighborhood so I can file share between the desktop and notebook. Can somone guide me on how to configure this? THANK YOU !!![ :)]

You have to share at least one folder on each machine. Just know that whatever you share, others on the network can also see. You may want to password the folders to protect yourself. Go browse your drive and right click on the folder to enable sharing. I would recommend against sharing your entire C: drive.

I don't use file sharing much, but once you activate it and establish all machines are in the same workgroup, don't you have to map the drives from explorer?

ok first you need to find out the computer name of the computer you would like to connect to. After finding this out (My computer+properties>computer name) after doing this go on the computer you want to connect to the desktop with and go to start>run then type in \(computers name, no brackets) that should work. If that works then go to my computer and go to map network drive under tools i belive, then press browse

In case you had Zonealarm or another firewall, be sure that you enable them so that you computer can be accesed by other network computers. In Zoenalemr you have to define a range of IPs and put them in the 'trusted zone'.
