I have fios... the router it came with is/was good. Up until about a month ago I cannot connect wirelessly to the router, or any other wireless network for that matter. I ran the intel proset diagnostic tool and it once it got to the association test it failed.

My notebook detects wireless signals and even shows a strong signal but i cant connect. I dont know what the problem could be.

I updated my wireless card drivers, what other drivers are there to update?

Also when I try to connect to my router wirelessly, it goes right to the could not connect box. When I hit diagnose it tells me its a low signal but it shows full strength and im right on top of the thing.

Have you tried to reset the router?

You can always get into your router as admin and check the firmware upgrade, try to dowload the latest driver.

I had to change mine once and everything it's working properly now.

Problems fixed... it is the notebook... for some reason I had to manually set up the connection.
