I am currently hospitalized and my room does not get the hospital's wifi service. The other part of the wing does. The guest network that I wish to get onto has a stupid "You much accept our rules..." bit for access. Is there a method you can think of that would enable me and the other folks on this part of the wing internet access? The IT folks here are asses "We don't have the money to buy anything even if you offer to buy the hardware" which makes no sense beings they are sitting on their butts doing nothing.

Is there a wireless repeater or bridge you can recommend? Remember I am in 220v land so things can get a bit complicated. I would prefer to get a simple solution - plug the power in and let it go, but can do some configuration while in the wheelchair.

I think that network acceptance page will be a killer. Not even too sure that a PC with larger external directional antenna will solve your issues.

You can have a cheap TP-LINK router and put a DD-WRT firmware on it, then make it repeat the signal of the WiFi. That's simple and cheap... And will increase the coverage to your wing.
