    I just went to a web page and it said "Redirect failed, This page has been logged." What does that mean? Where is it being logged?

    Not sure if this will work, but you could try to access the page a different way. Instead of trying to go through the domain name(i.e. www.google.com) you could ping the website from the command prompt to get the ip address and enter that address in the address bar.
    Start->Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt
    I will use Google as an example, in the command prompt type
    ping google.com
    and then press enter. It should look similiar to this:

    Pinging google.com [64.233.187.99] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 64.233.187.99: bytes=32 time=98ms ttl=243
    Reply from 64.233.187.99: bytes=32 time=121ms ttl=243
    Reply from 64.233.187.99: bytes=32 time=38ms ttl=243
    Reply from 64.233.187.99: bytes=32 time=60ms ttl=243
    Ping statistics for 64.233.187.99:
    Packets: Sent=4, Received=4, Lost=0 (0% Loss),
    Approximate round trip time in milli-seconds:
    Minimum=38ms, Maximum=121ms, Average=79ms

    Then in your internet browser type in http://64.233.187.99 to get to the webpage. Of course your ip address is going to be different because you are going to be accessing another page. Sometimes this helps, but that's if it happens to be a DNS issue. As to where it's logged, I don't have a clue.

    Thanks! I try to help others when I can. Don't know if it will help the op's issue but it might at least lead down the right path. Never know until you try ;)

    As for where the page is being logged!; I don't know but the first thing I think about when hearing log, is the "Event Log" in windows; although I highly doubt any info. about a web page will be logged in there. Here is how to get there; Click Start-->Run and type compmgmt.msc and hit enter. Then expand System tools and Event Viewer, and check to see if u have an Internet Explorer log.

    that's not what that means.

    When you run a website, you will on occasion want to redirect someone from one page to another without them clicking on something via a script--for example, if your website is designed to look good in ie7, but it looks like crap in firefox3, you may have a script in the page that reads the header info from your browser and redirects you to the correct page.

    The log message means that the redirection failed and the server logged the error so that hopefully the webmaster can come back later, read the log, and see what happened--for example, he may have changed the location of the page he wanted you to be redirected to, but forgot to modiful the script.
    "Redirect failed, This page has been logged."

    I was hoping to err on the side of the client rather than the server because then that would mean that no one could get to it and it would be down for everyone that tried that original page.

    This mostly occur when the web page has been moved to another domain or server.

    The redirection could have failed because the OP's browser is set to not accept silent redirects - a reasonable security measure since a hacked webpage could silently redirect to a spoofed page from which malware would be downloaded.

    Very scary indeed, that's why is critical to have the "Phishing filter" on.
