    Folks,

Bought a HP Pavilion dv6000z series laptop. I see a infrared screen on the laptop but not sure how to activate it. The control panel does not have a "wireless link" icon that I have used in the past on other laptops. Does anyone know how to activate the infrared on this laptop? Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Slick

What are you using it for?

For me, it seems like my IR is on all the time, as I don't do anything but place what I want to be sent over(My cell) near the IR, and go to 'Send via IR' on my cell, and my notebook asks if I want to accept the connection.
