    Hi,

My old email server (merseymail.com) is closing down, so they have provided instructions on how to retrieve mail via IMAP at:

    http://www.merseymail.com/instructions.html

I want to transfer all my old mail (as they are no longer allowing users to view their mail so I need to be able to view email sent between the viewing cutoff date and the server shutdown date) to a new gmail account.

However, as I can see gmail only can import using POP3, whereas merseymail will only export using IMAP.

How can I get round this? If I can't do it with gmail, what email providers use IMAP? Can I go through a third email provider to import my mail into gmail?

    Thanks very much.

    Froskoy.

Well, I suppose you can download your emails with IMAP using one of the email clients listed on that website and then download the emails from those clients via POP3 in Gmail.
