They used to do that like 6 or 7 years ago then they never did...I was stuck on 100MBPS Down/20MBPS up for like 3 years as I cannot afford to pay for the higher packages that they offer.

Yesterday I was doing a Speedtest and was shocked to see that my internet speed got a free upgrade to 250MBPS Down/50MBPS up as part of their new packages!

It all depends on ISP, location and price. The range is huge.

This is what I get at home...

Here is the pathetic garbage connection at the hotel in SoCal where I am at the moment...

Connection cost is $200 USD per month but that's for a landline telephone + internet + premium TV Channels

Here's the speed when testing other servers:

My 500/500 is on it's way. Have wated since last easter. But the damn snow, ice and soil frost have come and stopped the progress. The Big outside fiber box is now up for my neighborhood, but nothing will happen before the frost is gone and this means I can't get it up before the spring 2019. Still on 4.3 and 0.39 :(

By mean 500/500 you mean the metallic box or the dog ,if it’s the dog i think you need to reboot the dog.exe .(joking)

Since it’s snowy why dont you go the library, most library have free wifi so you can spend time there and wait for the ethernet box. It’s a win win for you

I think a simple router reboot at the Hotel should make the speed go higher.
Don't you have Google Fiber at AZ?
Can you share just 20% with me?
Is it on mobile data or through FTTH?
I think they'll roll out 1Gbps affordable plans in near future.

I will get 500 up and down from that metallic box. And I know the library offer free wifi. But they offer exactly same speed as I have home now :p They struggle with same problems and will get same upgrade as me and at same time. I could of course use the main library longer down the road but I then I had to walk 2x9km (uphill all the way back home). Add this to my 10km walking with my dog each day and you can see this won't happen.

Upload starts around 350 and goes down. Officially connection is 1Gbps/100mbit. 39€/mo.
100/100 would be 10€ and 10/10 is free...

That might help, but hotels are notorious for lousy internet and too much traffic dragging down the local network.

No, I wish we had Google Fiber (or Verizon FIOS) here. There are very limited options where I live. CenturyLink DSL, Cox cable and Mediacom cable are the only broadband internet options available, and only the two cable ISPs offer decent speeds. CenturyLink DSL is cheap, but it is limited to a pathetic 20Mbps. Cox and Mediacom prices are ludicrously high.
