    Folks:
I need help had a Dell Lattitude using a D-Link DWL AG650 wirelss card that has 802.11a,b,g and 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies with an access point, D-Link DWL 7000AP everything worked fine, upgraded laptop to a E Machine M6811 wide screen and it has an internal Broadcom 54g MaxPerformance wireless card and having problems connecting and staying connected. Was having 72Mbps or greater with D-Link now only getting 54Mbps and I am happy with 54 Mbps since that is the maximum on the g standard but am having dropouts and no connectivity issues. Have it configured the same as D-Link card same WEP, SSID, etc. Anyone have any ideas I am thing of getting another D-Link card to solve problem only about $70 but would rather save the bucks. extra note I did accidently download XP SP2 update from Microsoft but did disable the firewall was causing problems. Please Help. Thanks.

You may want to try upgrading the drivers for your network card (possibly even downgrade) and/or upgrade the firmware on your router. I had an issue like this with an HP notebook I had, the newest drivers caused drops, while 1 version older worked fine.
