so this happened couple days ago when i got my first vista notebook, HP DV2500t
this is my setup, I have a desktop running xp SP2 with wired connection to my D-link DIR-655, and my HP DV2500t using wireless.
Then my web pages started loading REAAAALY slow, so i looked around and found out that if i uninstall this Vista update and take out the phishing filter in IE7 should have fixed the problem, so now I am able to download around 600kb/s but when i try to upload it wont even go. I ran speedtest.net and found my download perfectly fine, but once it gets to the uploading test it gets stuck at "Preparing for upload" (this is happening on both my XP and vista)
I also tried uploading a small image file and it did not work.
I tried Firefox as well to make sure it wasn't IE's problem

    Can anyone help me?

because of the upload problem my web browsing speed has been slowed down by 1/2

If you have norton kill it it is nothing but problem. Also disable you FW and see if it corrects the problem.

I have run the test before and what happens is my download would go around 5100 kbps and when it gets to the upload test, it'll get stuck at "Preparing for upload test..."
I have tried uploading small images like 30 kbs, and if i get lucky i might get around 0.2kb-0.3kb/sec.
and as for norton I have tried closing all my applications and it doesn't help. I have also tried not using the router and connect straight with the modem still no good.
I am starting to think it might be my service prodiver disabling it because I exceeded the limit, but it doesnt make sense because i can download fine.
