This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Do acer wifi cards work on non acer laptops ?

    I know that HP/Lenovo have whitelists in their bios.
    and that Dell updates the firmware of the wifi card to make it work with dell laptop only (not sure about this though)

    Any known limitation ?

    No limitations either way - cards from Acer laptops work in other notebooks and other cards work in Acer laptops (with exception of Lenovo and HP cards that work only in Lenovo and HP notebooks respectively)
