yup, EVERDAY at 8:26, I lose connection, but it reconnects. I called up bellsouth and he said the only solution would be to have some tech to come out. I reset my modem yesterday and it did not fix it. It is the black westell modem with the auto update set at sometime every month. It started doing this every since I got it back from being repaired (for the 2nd time). Please help.

If it started after being repaired, then my guess is that you'll need that technician to come out and take a look.

Maybe the place that repaired your computer infected it with something and they are watching your every move.

How much time elapses between when it disconnects and when it reconnects? Notwithstanding that the customer "service" rep at your ISP whom you spoke with didn't say anything, it could be an ISP-enforced requirement to force connected modems to renew their IP addresses. When I go through the logs on my router, which is connected to RoadRunner cable broadband, I see similar log entries, although I have no idea right now how frequent they are.

Not the DHCP lease time set to 24hr renewal ? (1440 minutes)
This might be releasing the WAN port and not renewing it quickly enough (should be almost instant)

    Just a thought.
