    Hi Guys,

I want to disable the firewall in my dlink DI524 wireless router. My setup is consisting of Dlink GLB-502T ADSL router + Dlink DI524 wireless router.

The problem is that hotmail.com and yahoo.com do not work when i connect thru the di-524 but if i connect directly thru the glb-502t adsl router, everything works. So i conluded that it was the firewall in the di-524 which is interfering with the sites. Also I am not able to access windows update thru the DI524 but when i connect directly thru adsl router glb-502t it works flawlessly.

I have search endlessly thru google and tried various options but no sucess.
Please help me to get rid of this anoyying problem!!!
    Thanks

Obviously the DI-524 is filtering something above and beyond what you wish filtered.

Have you read the manual and configured the DI-524?

I managed to find out the solution. I had to set the MTU value for my connection. Now I am able to access hotmail / yahoo and even windows update works beautifully.

For all those people for whom certain websites dont work and windows update also doesn't work, try setting the MTU value in your router.
